Book Information

Analyze general book data.

The Book Information Report presents general book information, including data about word count, word lists, and levels.



How to Use:
  1. Open a book.
  2. In the WordCruncher toolbar, go to Analyze > Book Reports > Book Information.

In the Book Information Report, you will see three sections: Book data, Word list data, and Level data. Word lists and levels are set in the ETAX file.

Book Information


Book Data

This section contains general data about the book.

If you are using a BookSet (such as The Scriptures), you will see multiple books listed. Click on a book to view its information.

  • Name: The book title.
  • File Size: The size in bytes.
  • Word Lists: The number of word lists.
  • Levels: The number of levels in the table of contents.
  • Date: The installation date.


Word List Data

This section includes information about the words in each word list.

  • Name: The name of the word list.
  • Words: The total number of words.
  • Freq. Avg.: The average frequency of individual words.
  • Freq. Std. Dev.: The standard deviation of frequencies (individual words).
  • Len. Avg: The average character length of words.
  • Unique: The number of unique words.
  • Unique Len. Avg.: The average length of unique words.


Level Data

This section includes information about the reference levels (i.e., the table of contents structure of the book).

  • Name: The name of the level.
  • Total: The number of headings.
  • Unique: The number of unique headings.
  • Unq. Abbrev.: Unique abbreviations.
  • Code: The level code.
